What you need to know about EcoSMART products

How EcoSMART products are different from other insecticides:
Unlike most conventional insecticides, the active ingredient in EcoSMART products targets and blocks a key neurotransmitter receptor called octopamine, which is found only in invertebrates (i.e. insects). Octopamine regulates an insect's heart rate, movement, behavior and metabolism. Interrupting the functioning of octopamine results in a total breakdown of the insect's nervous system. This "mode-of-action" is so unique, it has been patented by EcoSMART!

Why there is a fragrance associated with several EcoSMART products:
Because the active ingredient is comprised of plant essential oils, there is a "floral/botanical" fragrance associated with some of our products. This fragrance is not harmful and will dissipate after a short period of time.

Pests that EcoSMART products control:
Because all insects have the octopamine neurotransmitter receptor, EcoSMART's products work against a broad spectruzm of crawling and flying pests.
